Sponsored Athletes

Proud to support British sporting ambition

As part of our ongoing support to the British Olympic Association and Team GB, Atos Origin is proud to sponsor three great British athletes. Georgina Harland (Modern Pentathlon), Leon Taylor (Diving) and Adam Pengilly (Bob Skeleton), We also sponsor Paralympic World Champion Danny Crates (800m sprint). All have already proven themselves on the world stage and our long-term commitment will provide support to help them realise their ambitions to compete and succeed at their next respective Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing and Vancouver.

In October 2005, Atos Origin, in partnership with the British Olympic Association, launched the Olympic Champions and Challengers bursary programme. Twelve Olympic 'Champions' were identified and asked to nominate, with the relevant sports governing body, a young athlete from their own sport who they felt had the potential to represent Team GB at future Olympic or Paralympic Games.

As a result of the support from Atos Origin and other partners, the programme offers this pool of young sporting talent, tangible and long term support.

Each Challenger is guaranteed a bursary fund every year through to 2012. Read more >>
