FAQs

Where are the vacancies based?

Our main offices are in central London, Reading, Nottingham, Birmingham, Scotland, and Runcorn
(Cheshire). As a graduate, you are likely to be based at one of these locations, although we occasionally have vacancies in other locations. For all roles regardless of where you are based, you must be flexible and prepared to work away from home on a regular and ongoing basis.

Do you consider applications from people who require a work permit?

We welcome applications from those who are legally entitled to work in the UK on a permanent basis and without restriction.

We regret that, due to Home Office regulations, we are unable to apply for work permits on behalf of candidates.

What is the closing date for applications?

Please see individual vacancies for further details.

What are the entry requirements?

We look for well-rounded individuals with an excellent record of achievement in both academic and extra curricular activities. In general you will have a 2:2 or above in a technical or business related degree discipline. However some roles may have different requirements, please see individual vacancies for details.

What stages are involved in the recruitment process?

We have 4 steps to our recruitment process:
  • Application form screening
  • Aptitude test (not required for all vacancies)
  • Telephone interview
  • Selection Day

What areas of the business do you recruit Graduates into?

We generally recruit graduates into technical or business related vacancies within Systems Integration and Managed Operations.  In addition we have a business graduate scheme within Atos Healthcare, however our recruitment is dictated by the needs of our business, so opportunities in other areas may occur, please see current vacancies for further details.

Will I have the opportunity to travel abroad?

We are specifically recruiting for positions in UK and expect applicants to be prepared to work in the UK for a number of years. However, we are a global company, and opportunities for working abroad do sometimes arise. Some parts of the business have more opportunities than others to work abroad, but we cannot guarantee anybody the chance to work abroad.

When would I start?

Generally our intake dates are in the summer and the autumn, although start dates may vary according to which part of the business you join. Successful candidates will be allocated a starting date, taking into account personal preference where possible, and business needs.

What's your stance on diversity?

We are a global company with a good mix of male and female staff from a wide range of countries, religions, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life. We strive hard to ensure that our hiring policy truly reflects the breadth and depth of our international presence.

I am disabled - can I still apply?

Of course. If you have certain special needs or are having difficulty applying due to a disability, please let us know as soon as possible. Please rest assured it will not impact on your application. Atos Origin has a policy of equality both in our recruitment process and once you have joined us.

How do I apply? - Is it all online, or do you accept paper application forms as well?

Please apply online. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we have to manage all applications in one place and so cannot accept paper applications. Please let us know if you are having problems applying due to a disability and we will ensure that you are able to complete your application to Atos Origin.

How long after I submit my application, can I expect to hear whether I've been successful to the next round?

We will acknowledge your application on receipt. We will then inform you of your progress as quickly as possible. The time taken for this depends on the time of year. For the majority of vacancies we start application screening in November or December, followed by telephone interviews in January and February. We start to run assessment centres and make our first offers in February. However timings may vary depending on the role, please see individual vacancies for further details.

If we have no immediate opportunities available you can register your interest on the website and we will contact when suitable opportunities arise.
